About the School
A Bhopal institution since 1972
- Ideal Higher Secondary School was founded in 1972 by Sh. M.P. Philip and others under the Ideal Education Society, to serve a growing city with schooling that stayed affordable without giving up quality.
- The school is recognised by and registered with the Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh. It is co-educational and English medium, with Science, Commerce and Humanities streams at the higher secondary level.
- Thirty-three batches of higher secondary students have passed out so far. The school today has more than 2000 students on its rolls and close to 90 teaching and support staff.

The school sits on a campus of more than 116,000 sq. ft. in Punjabi Bagh, Govindpura -- 9,997 sq. ft. of built-up teaching space and an 8,202 sq. ft. playground.
Classrooms, laboratories and the library take the space they need, and the rest is open ground for games, assembly and the annual sports day.
